It's not just a saying. They really do grow up too quickly.

AMJ 2011

This year the baby in the family exchanged nappies for undies.
This year she swapped the Wiggles for Dora.
This year she left kindergym behind for kindergarten.
This year she went from 3 to 4.
This year she went from a little girl to, as she will tell you,
"I am four and I am a big girl now"
AMJ 2011

I do miss my little girl, my last toddler.

But my big girl is adventurous, entertaining, funny and lovable.
She is increasingly independent but
she still hugs me, tells me that she loves me
and calls for me when she is hurting or having bad dreams.
As long as she does those things,
I can cope with her growing up.

Happy birthday, gorgeous girl.

Happy birthday to your 'big girl'! it's sort of bittersweet isn't it watching them grow up.

Happy Birthday to your gorgeous (big) girl. Wouldn't it be lovely if we could keep them little forever!
Great cake!

I think Karen said it perfectly, bitter sweet. It certainly is that. Bet she loved that cake. x

Happy birthday you guys! It just occurred to me that in a month or two my small will be four and that will be the end of the response: "I am free!" when asked her age). Oh.

Happy Birthday, isn't 4 a great age to be? I have a little girl turning 4 soon too. I can't decide whether I like them growing up or want them to stay little!
